In January 2022, our football community unexpectedly lost a very special individual, JT Spencer.   JT played varsity football for Coach Eric Moore. He was a senior leader on the state runner up, 2000 Center Grove football team, which was our first football team to make it to the state finals.  JT coached many years at the bantam fields, helping friends coach their kids and others in the community. JT never had the opportunity to coach his own child in the program, yet still gave his time to help others and teach the game we all know and love. JT was on the board of directors for many years, was an assistant coach, a head coach, JRT player, a true Trojan, and always a great friend. JT enjoyed helping maintain our facilities and game fields, always having that big smile on his face. Beginning in the 2023 season, CGBFL will award a volunteer who exemplifies the spirit of JT, giving to others, with the expectation of nothing in return.
